New, open box. I had previously sold this item as new in box but the customer could not get it to work. He said the firmware needed updated. So I am selling it as-is for parts only. Here is the message I received from the previous buyer: This item is not defective, rather it s not working as it is supposed to because it s too old (manufactured in 2017) and the firmware in the device would not work with current Smartthings. The Smartthings app won t connect to this old hardware unless the firmware is updated, however there s no way or procedures to update the firmware in the device. Unfortunately, these devices have never been used and sold as unopened box, therefore the seller could not have known whether these devices would work or not.
